The Colorado-based Independence Institute (not to be confused with the Independent Institute) has hosted events dismissing the“Cult of Climate Change” and featuring Cato Institute fellows. It has promoted “Climate Coup,” a book edited by Patrick Michaels of the Cato Institute.
The Independence Institute also attacks renewable energy, claiming that it contributes to climate change (even though it dismisses the crisis) and belittles programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, such a Boulder, Colorado’s Climate Action Plan.
The Independence Institute is a member of the State Policy Network.
