Avery Raines (she/her) hails from Atlanta, Georgia, and she is deeply invested in working towards climate and migration justice. Believing that we all can exist in a world without borders, she focuses her work on the fight against forced displacement as a result of the climate crisis. She has spent the last few years working at various environmental nonprofits where she began taking her grassroots work online through digital organizing.
Avery strives for the liberation of her people and communities, working towards creating transformative energy democracy systems and cooperative communities. When not working or traveling, Avery can be found playing the bass guitar, reading comic books, or curating music playlists to relive her glory days as a radio DJ. Avery is a proud Libra and an avid fan of the X-Files. Avery is the Senior Digital Strategist for the Climate Campaign.
