Who is Greenpeace? How can you get involved in the fight against nature destroyers and climate polluters? How can we create a green and just future together?

At Greenpeace we have a team of skilled and dedicated volunteers, who hold presentations and workshops about our organization and the issues we work with. We call them Greenspeakers.

Our presentations

Greenpeace’s fantastic volunteer Greenspeakers hold offline and online presentations and workshops about Greenpeace and Greenpeace’s campaigns, in Swedish and in English.

They are eager to visit your school, organization, gymnasium or workplace to talk about the fight to protect our beautiful planet.

Right now, our Greenspeakers are very interested in talking with you about the following subjects:

Forests

Forests are an essential part of life, culture and health for people on this planet. Yet, our last forests are for sale in the name of profit. Since the 1950s over 60% of Sweden’s forests have been clear-cut and scientists warn that if we continue at the current rate of deforestation, we will lose our old-growth forests completely by 2070. Invite our Greenspeakers to hear more about what this means for people and planet and how we can solve it together!

Methane & climate change

Imagine if the food on our plates was healthy for us and for our planet, without us having to think too much about it. With the help of local democracy, we can actually achieve this! Methane is one of the biggest and worst greenhouse gases and industrial agriculture’s production of meat and dairy is the largest source of methane emissions in Sweden. Invite a Greenspeaker and learn more about the role of methane in the climate crisis and how you can be part of the changemaking in your municipality!

Civil Disobedience

Civil disobedience is part of Greenpeace’s DNA, for more than 50 years we have used civil disobedience to hold those in power accountable for their actions, or lack of actions. Civil disobedience is a democratic tool that has proven to be crucial in some of the biggest societal transitions in history. Want to learn more about civil disobedience, how we at Greenpeace use it and listen to some exciting examples in the field? Invite a Greenspeaker!
