It’s our birthday, and it’s a big one, so we thought we’d put together a party with a difference to mark 20 years of Greenpeace Southeast Asia.

To celebrate this important milestone, we have brought together eight of our founding members to provide a unique and personal insight into our origins, history and incredible journey over the last two decades. And they certainly didn’t disappoint.

In a poignant, moving and entertaining virtual call, our eight leading lights reveal exclusive, behind-the-scenes details about some of the biggest moments in our formative years, including how they pulled off some of our most audacious early campaigns and actions, and the extraordinary experiences, friendships and determination that have helped Greenpeace inspire the hearts, minds and feet of thousands of people across Southeast Asia.

Joining the cast of this remarkable reunion were current Greenpeace International Program Manager Amalie Obusan; Greenpeace Southeast Asia Programme Director Jasper Inventor; Greenpeace Thailand Country Director Tara Buakamsri alongside former Greenpeacers Athena Ballesteros, Nabiha Shahab, Nur Hidayati, Von Hernandez, and Mark Dia.

If you want to find out what they had to say and how Greenpeace Southeast Asia’s grew into the diverse and locally focussed organisation it is today, please join us for the premiere of this fascinating, moving and inspiring story.
