Pursuing justice for the planet

Corporations and governments often put profit over people and the planet. Greenpeace, alongside allies, works with communities to challenge these harmful systems, fighting for a green, sustainable future where Filipinos can thrive.

Slowing the collapse: demand Climate Justice

The planet is warming fast and the effects are devastating: supertyphoons, landslides, extreme heatwaves and rising sea levels. What were once natural disasters are worsening from destructive man-made actions like the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, and intensive agriculture. We can prevent these actions by pressuring corporations and policy-makers to revolutionise how we generate energy and support socially responsible production.

No time to waste: break free from plastic now

Mindless consumption has led to throwaway culture and this very practice is the reason for corporations blaming us for plastic waste mismanagement. But we all know their mass production of single-use plastics and unethical operations clog and litter our world with waste. Worse, the global waste trade turns developing countries like the Philippines into a giant dump site. It’s time to break down this system and the plastics that harm us.

The power to disrupt: voice of community

When we plan a green future, it takes communities whose differing voices and cultures help build it. We need everyone’s ideas, especially from Indigenous Peoples whose wisdom and relationship with nature inspire a principle of care. This maxim helps anchor the work we do: developing peaceful campaigns, scientific investigations, and data-based solutions. These are financed by generous people who share Greenpeace values and believe in our vision that collective action is powerful to dismantle oppressive systems and create sustainable ones.

Defending paradise: campaigns through the years

Over the past years, we’ve been consistent in exposing social and environmental abuses. Until now, we’re bold and creative with our campaigns: putting renewable energy at the front of stopping climate change, promoting ethical farming and confronting the exploitation of marine sources and fishermen. Though we are victorious in seizing the attention of policy-makers and key groups, there is more to do. We must be relentless in our campaigns the same way top polluters are with their greed for profit and unethical business models.
