Vaquita Marina is facing an inminent extinction, result of a lot of omissions that have led it to an extreme situation. After all the efforts that the federal government has made and the large amounts of money spend on that, at the time that we’re writing these lines there are less than 30 vaquitas. This report makes a brief review of the main events: the intervention of scientists, officials and civil society organizations, in the attempt to save a unique and emblematic species that resists extinction.
