Position Title: Media Analyst Intern

Description

Greenpeace MENA is seeking a new graduate in communications, media, or journalism to have their internship in its Engagement Department, based in Lebanon but working remotely. We are looking for brilliant new talent, fresh from college or university or with similar experience, to join us for a 3-month internship. During your stay at Greenpeace MENA, you’ll get first-level hands-on experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, and media monitoring. You will support Greenpeace MENA’s efforts to leverage data and insights to boost media efforts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support GP MENA’s communications team in conducting daily media monitoring
  • Create internal news briefings
  • Catalog available sources of information and update key reports regularly
  • Support GP MENA’s Data & Insights Analyst in developing and testing new reports
  • Aggregate and codify media coverage
  • Support the development of quantitative and qualitative monthly media reports
  • Scope and aggregate contacts of potential  regional media and creative collaborators, and keep the information up to date

Requirements 

  • The ability to meet deadlines is vital. 
  • Knowledge of media outlets and social media platforms. 
  • Ability to work with large amounts of information and attention to detail 

Qualifications

Education: a university degree in communications, media, journalism, or other relevant fields.

Language: strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic. A very good knowledge of English is a must; French is a plus.
