We just had our first MAKE SMTHNG Week in Malaysia, on December 1 to 2, 2018 at AEON AU2 Setiawangsa in Kuala Lumpur. We had more than 15 booths with different activities for all ages.
From a zero-waste fashion show and a reading corner, to the Wings of Paradise colouring contest, vegan yummy cooking demos and, open mic and music performances.
We even had workshops on garbage enzyme creating organic fertiliser to provide tips on composting using food waste products.
We also received a surprise visit from Setiawangsa Member of Parliament (MP) Nik Nazmi on our first day – he was one of the event’s early birds!
But most important of all were the volunteers who organised the MAKE SMTHNG Week. Without our lovely volunteers, we don’t think the activities could have run as smoothly as they did – without their support, the event might not even have taken place.
