During April 2023, Greenpeace India and Heatwave Action Coalition India wrote to the Chief Minister of Delhi regarding the need to draft and implement a much-needed Heatwave Action Plan for the city. However, even after two months, no announcements have followed on the matter.
Through this follow-up letter, Greenpeace India reiterates the urgency of the crisis and requests the Chief Minister of Delhi to ensure a swift implementation of the Heatwave Action Plan (HAP) at the earliest to prevent human and economic casualties. The letter carries a comprehensive set of recommendations to ensure a just and equitable response to the heatwave crisis in the city.
