As part of the Rethinking Nature Protection art call, we have the pleasure and honour of showcasing the work of 5 artists in their vision of what decolonization and Nature protection truly means. Creator Jarett Sitter shares his work and vision in this representation of environmental injustice.

“This illustration speaks to environmental injustice and environmental racism. Depicting the select few that control resources as birds of prey selfishly guarding the “continents” of leaves for themselves on this global tree. This invasive bird is hoarding resources within the planet we all share, while intentionally subjugating the “Have Nots”, pictured as an assorted group of birds from around the world, to areas the “Haves” deem less desirable.”
