Statement

All of us at Greenpeace Africa are deeply saddened and shocked by the killing of school children, along with wounding a dozen others, who were attacked on 24 October 2020 in Kumba. We bow before the memory of these innocent children and strongly condemn this senseless violent act against them. We offer our deepest condolences to the victim’s families in Cameroon and our support to all affected and their families.

Cameroon is one of the five countries where Greenpeace Africa operates its offices and stands at the forefront of Greenpeace Africa’s campaign to protect the Congo Basin Forest. Greenpeace Africa condemns and calls for an immediate cease to the violence.
