At Greenpeace Africa, the volunteers are core to defining and building our billion acts of courage. We look for passionate, courageous individuals who want to use their power to create real change on the African continent.
Our volunteers receive new experiences, skills and even new friendships while being part of Greenpeace Africa campaigns and driving local environmental initiatives. From organising river clean-ups to climbing walls and hanging banners in protest, our volunteers do this without financial compensation, and with tons of passion. Today, we are 700 volunteers strong across 5 countries: Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Senegal and South Africa. Our volunteers are students, professionals, fishermen, and farmers who contribute their time and expertise to strengthen our campaigns.
